Traveling the world and visiting famous theaters is a perfect pastime for those who enjoy both travel and theater. Operas, plays, and movies are relevant in most cultures, and local theaters play a significant role in connecting the audience with the arts. For example, the Boston Opera House in Boston, Massachusetts, was founded in 1928 and is famous for its acoustics and ornamentation.

In Düsseldorf, Germany, the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus was built in 1818 as a gift from King Friedrich Wilhelm II of Prussia. The highlights of the theater, which was restored in the late 1960s, are the undulating lines that resemble a theater curtain.
In the city of Manaus, Brazil, the Teatro Amazonas is located in the middle of the Amazon rainforest. Established in the 19th century, Teatro Amazonas took 15 years of work and was built with supplies from all over the world - the steel walls came from Glasgow, Scotland; the roof tiles came from Alsace, France; and the columns and stairs came from Italy.
